Art Nxtion was founded in 2019 by Arts and Cultural Director Shemaiah Gold, who, after spending a short time within the art world, recognised a growing disconnect between emerging talent and access to meaningful opportunities. While surrounded by extraordinary creativity, she noticed how many artists struggled with visibility, industry guidance, professional networks and accessible platforms that genuinely supported their development.

 

Identifying these gaps within the creative industry, she created Art Nxtion as a new kind of art community - one designed to champion emerging artists through exhibitions, mentorship, workshops and cultural experiences that nurture both creative and professional growth.

Founded in London and now connected to a growing international network of creatives, Art Nxtion exists to create spaces where creativity, collaboration and discovery can thrive. What began as a platform to connect artists has evolved into a wider creative ecosystem bringing together painters, photographers, multidisciplinary artists, curators and cultural thinkers from different backgrounds and disciplines.

 

At its core, Art Nxtion believes that many of the artists shaping the future of contemporary culture are often the ones who simply have not yet been seen. Through open exhibitions, artist development programmes, curated events and meaningful industry connections, the platform aims to make the art world feel more accessible, inclusive and reflective of the next generation redefining it.
